"Study to shew thyself approved unto God,
a workman that needeth not to be ashamed,
rightly dividing the word of truth."
-- 2 Timothy 2:15
There is no substitute for time spent reading and studying God's Word. Furthermore, we need to spend more time reading God's Word than we spend hearing the words of men. Here are some basic guidelines for effective Bible study:
S - Is there a Sin for us to avoid?
P - Is there a Promise from God for us to claim?
E - Is there an Example for us to follow?
C - Is there a Command for us to obey?
K - How does this passage increase our Knowledge of God?
